A standard trouser or dress pants hem starts at $18-$20. Jeans hemming starts at $20 for a standard hem or $35 and up for an original hem (which preserves the factory stitching). Wide and extra-wide hems cost more ($25-$45). We provide exact pricing at your free consultation.
An original hem (also called a Euro hem) shortens your jeans while keeping the factory-stitched bottom edge intact. This preserves the authentic distressed or faded look at the hem. It’s a specialized technique that costs $35 and up compared to $20 for a standard hem, and it’s especially popular for premium denim brands like Levi’s, AG, Citizens of Humanity, and raw selvedge denim.
Standard turnaround for pants hemming is 1–2 weeks. Simple hems are great candidates for our same-day service — if you need pants hemmed urgently, call ahead or visit us and we can often complete it the same day (30% surcharge applies).
Yes. We can taper jeans from the knee down ($25-$35) for a slimmer look or do a full leg taper ($45-$55) for a complete transformation from relaxed to slim fit. We can also combine tapering with a waist adjustment for a total fit overhaul.
Absolutely. Shoe height affects the ideal pant length. Bring the shoes you’ll wear most often with those pants. If you wear them with multiple shoe types (flats and heels, or sneakers and dress shoes), bring both pairs so we can find a length that works for both.
Yes, we alter leather pants including hemming, waist adjustments, and tapering. Leather requires specialized equipment and techniques, so there’s a +$20 surcharge per alteration area. Leather pants hemming starts at $25-$35 (compared to $18-$20 for standard fabric).
